Junior Coaching Lessons

Hot Shots Program

The Hot Shots program is the most popular coaching program and is fully endorsed and supported by Tennis Australia.

The program is just for kids. Smaller courts, lighter racquets and low-compression balls that don’t bounce too high make learning tennis fun and easy for primary school-aged children. This means that kids are able to start rallying and having fun right from their first lesson.

The program is designed for 4-10 year olds. There are four stages – Blue, Red, Orange and Green – that help to develop children’s skills and confidence. Please Contact Us to discuss the best coaching group for your child.

Following is a brief outline of the focus for each level. For coaching enrolments, see Junior Coaching Enrolment.

Hot Shots – Blue Ball (3-5 years)

This is a step-by-step starter tennis program which focuses on improving children’s concentration, hand-eye coordination and ball skills using modified equipment to children in the 3-5 age group to develop their skills in a fun, safe and structured environment (No parental supervision on-court required).

By matching the game to their size and athletic ability, Hot Shots Blue ball tennis lets children enjoy tennis from their first lesson. The tennis balls are low compression which means they bounce lower, move slower, allowing more time for the children to get to the ball and require less strength to hit.
